So I got my new truck last Friday on Saturday the truck had a Christmas tree light up on the dash and wouldn’t start had to have it towed into the dealer Monday they said it was good to go now issues truck started right up got it home and drove it all day Tuesday no issues and then Wednesday. no start all over again now it’s been at the dealer since and they can’t duplicate the issue anyone else having these issues?
Check the connector by the spare tire, passenger side. Have you been driving in rain? Not sure on 20's but previous models had issues with the connectors getting wet. Need to add dielectric grease to every connection under the truck. Theres a ton of threads on here about this.
I also wouldn't trust that they "checked the connections" Theres several threads here describing all this. I had it on my 19 250... Not the lights... But I read about the issue and dielectric greased the plugs. They are mounted in a ridiculous position. Mine had the female... or open connector facing upward and the male down. It should be the other way to avoid water running in. and to allow water to run out. After only 500 miles my plugs had water. All of these connections are dry. If you just got your 19 now it had to have been sitting around a while. Moisture alone on dry connections can develop minor corrosion.
Get some dielectric grease and do it yourself. I opened all the connections at the rear of the frame. Ill be doing this every year for the duration.
Im willing to bet it stops with the grease.
