Code P0678
I recently installed an alarm system on my 2006 E350 6.0l and during the install had a couple times where I momentarily grounded a live wire. No fuses blown and vehicle starts fine. But now am showing a code P0678 which is glow plug 8. I live in the tropics where the temp never gets below 70, so am not worried about starting, but was thinking that maybe it is not the glow plug, but somewhere in the circuit that was damaged when I shorted momentarily. You think I need to get it checked or is a single glow plug out not a problem in the tropics?
