General Explorer Question
I am considering purchasing an older SUV, and wanted to see if there were a particular model or date range that used a linear mounted engine as opposed to a transverse mounted engine? I like the explorer's general layout but I don't want a transverse mounted engine.

All up to 2010, and again starting in 2020.

Look for a '98-'01 with the 302 V8 and 4R70 transmission.

Thanks, so all of them up to the 2010 model had linear mounted engines and conventional drivelines?
