I read in Car & driver hemi 2500 4x4 does 8 sec to 60
I saw in a post on the Dodge Site that a 3v 5.4 Crew cab does 8.2
And my Friend in his 2002 chevy 4.8 x cab did 0 to 60 on his stop watch in 9 sec. hope this helps

Hemi 2500 in 8 or 8.1 seconds is correct, and I believe that's for the 4x4. Hemi 1500 should be SLIGHTLY lower, and the 2wd Hemi reg cab is way down there. I believe stock they are hitting high 14's. QC 4x4 1500's are hitting high 15's. 2wd QC mid 15's.

Not sure what the 5.3L chevy runs, but I hear it's pretty darn fast. Haven't heard hardly any #'s for '04 F-150 yet. I saw one where it put the 4-door 5.4L 4x4 at an estimated 8 seconds.

If zero to 60 MPH is such a big deal to you, why in the world did you buy a truck?

I wish all you truck guys would quit talking about how fast your truck is and how much you can pull, and start talking about how much, and how fast you can stop!

Yeah, this Ford vs. Competition forum is amazingly similar to the Mustang forums I used to visit. Seems like all anyone cares about is speed. Maybe that's why trucks are turning into grocery getters now days.

All vehicles are slow old grocery getters with squeaky brakes and smoke pouring out the exhaust. That'a why you customize and build to make yourself a real car/ truck that seperates you from the rest of the little old ladies.

I don't know why i like trucks. I don't like all trucks for dang sure. But i tell ya what. The old ford i got aint no slouch and stopps better than most and by golly, will handle just as well as most upgraded sports cars, plus, I can haul women and kegs of beer. As well as hauling tail.

I think people talk about speed because there's no reason you have to be a turtle to do what a truck should do. If you can do both with the best of both worlds... that just rocks, so don't bash the speed freaks too much.

Trucks= Less insurance costs, have high horsepower&torque engines that only improve with mods, are comfortable, safer than a small fast car, can haul things that a car can't, can be used year round, sound awesome, and nowadays can handle as well as most cars. Plus a lot of people love the looks of custom trucks.
