2004 6.0 w/104k miles,auto trans,factury stock,start's well,plenty power and no performance issues.
This started about 1k miles ago intermitenlly at cruising speed and has progressivlt happened more frequently (presently happen's once or twice in a hundred miles, last 30 to 120 seconds. Let dealer listen to video and left it with them. They "THINK" it might be heater blower but I unplugged motor and it still does it. I tried unsuccessfully to attach a vid from my phone so that put's us at disadvantage. It sound's like a bearing or other rolling part but I believe it's the turbo. Will the "drive it like you stole it treatment" clear it up? When I stomp the pedal it take's off like a scalded hound and there's no smoke. Sorry I couldn't attach the vid.
Without your video hard to diagnose. Can you tell us a little more about when it happens? Where does the sound seem to be coming from? Does the engine run any differently when its making the sound?
You are right I'm expecting a lot considering how little I'm furnishing. Some day I'll catch up with the rest of world and figure out how to use technogly. The sound is coming from the front. Driving it soumd's like lower RF,shotgun sound's like lower mid front. I haven't drove since it first began (eye surgery) but I'm almost back where I can start driving. There doesn't seem to be any change other than the impression bumps in road initiate it. That may very well be split second engine hic-cup that feel's like a bump. I'm searching for a friend that can post it for me if I text it to them(should have waited til that was done before starting this thread). When it first happened and I was driving,I laid the leather to it and couldn't feel any lose of power/exceleration.
