Electrical problem?
Vehicle specs:
1986 Ford F-150
Engine: 5.0L 302 V8 w/an auto transmission (I believe it's a C5)
4x2
Dual-tank
Problem: My dad cannot get the truck to turnover. It used to turnover and start. Now we cannot get to turnover even with a jump. Battery is good, new alternator, new spark wires and plugs. New fuel pumps. He did mention that there was a wire that was hot when it used to run. Maybe a ground issue? He would appreciate any help or guidance.
Ps. Also looking for the fuel tank switch. LMC truck has one but with a different amount of pins.

If the battery cable connections are sound (check those first) and there is no noise at all when you turn the key to start likely the starter relay has gone south. If you are getting a click or clunk when you turn the key likely the starter has gone south.
Do check the bat cables and get back to us if it is making any noise when turned to start..
