Cab floor brace

Cab floor brace

I was wondering if there us any place to buy the brace that runs from the cab corner to cab corner on the top of the floor pan on my 56. Thanks

Not unless you plan on buying the complete floor, I made my own..

Ok thanks. I figured that is what I was going to have to do. Looks like I'll have to get some measurements and hit up the Fab shop. Thanks

There was another thread on this same subject not too long ago and I posted a sketch of an easy way to fab one up using a length of 1 1/2 " square tubing and pieces of sheet metal ..I'll see if I can find the thread from about 2-3 weeks ago..this I made in 2 pieces because of the width of the metal brake I have

That looks good. I wouldn't be opposed to making out of tubing or making it in two pieces.

with tubing you could go from side to side, weld a flap on the back to meet the cab back bottom and another flap on the bottom to tie in with the floor..
