My buddy's '01 450. 3-4 year old Swamp's injectors. No power, sometimes, most of the time.
Autoenginuity says Inj Pressure 465 with oil temp 174* and at 2900 RPM the inj Pressure is at 1425-1440.
on the road the 14' 450 will not get out of it's own way.
There are #3 and #8 inj codes with contribution test.
Pressures were much higher a couple years ago, before and after the injector swamp.
"FYI" Truck has a 6 position chip and we found out plow jockeys were turning the chip up plowing snow, do not know it that contributed to this problem.
Are we looking at a tired HPOP?
The guys will chip in here for you. It's been awhile since I've had my rig.
That IPR duty cycle reading at 2900RPM might tell us if the PCM is asking for plenty of ICP, in which case we might have leaking O-rings on the injectors, IPR or a weak HPOP, assuming the ICP sensor is good.
Any oil leaks in the engine valley? They would have to be pretty substantial to affect ICP, but sometimes the HPOP hoses develop leaks (sometimes dramatically).
