Will 35x12.50 R20 rub on stock height on new 2020
Hey guys... anyone know/ done it yet, if the new lowered 2020 SD’s will accept a 35x12.50 R20 tire on stock height with the stock wheels? Everything I have seen people have been running a leveling kit for 35s. I would rather not do a level kit if I don’t have to. Any help/ info is appreciated!

I think they rub on the 19 too. I run a 295/65/20 because of that.
They only lowered it 1/2 inch for 2020 4x4s in the front. Maybe run a 285/65/20, similar or tad higher than a “35” and a little skinnier, some model/brands are wider than others. I was looking sharply at the Ridge Grappler in that size as its not much smaller than the 295 but much lighter.

37x12.5 will rub on radius arms and sway bar regardless of lift or level, but will not rub on the body anywhere on factory offsets. It’s when people change the wheels to clear the suspension that they begin to hit the body.
This is all for factory wheels. Get stupid enough wheels and you can make a 33” rub.

You’re mistaken about rub for factory offset wheels. There will be no rub anywhere for 35x12.5 on body or suspension for ‘19 or ‘20. The slight difference in suspension height on the ‘20s will neither improve or worsen this as the fenders, radius arms, sway bars are all the same.

thanks that’s good to know! I just traded a 2014 350 XLT 6.7. Truck was factory with 18s. Found a set of factory take offs 20” on eBay and through on nitto trail grapplers 35 12.5. They rubbed the radius arm at max steer radius. So that’s why I was asking if anyone has had the 20’s rub.
I want to do the ridge grapplers this time but need to go with 35 x 12.5 for the 12 ply option.....

I run the RG in 295. For some reason the 285 and 295 have more load rating than the 35x12.50x20 and arent F or 12 ply. Without further research I would look, I prefer the lightest but highest load rated tire and always go for the happy medium on that which meets my uses.

35x12.5R20 tires on stock 2020 Ford F250
For what it is worth, I tried to put my 35x12.5R20 tires and rims (Fuel Assaults 20x10 -18 offset) from my 2016 Ford F350 the day I bought it and they look awesome but rub a bit much on the front fender at the bottom left at the very bottom. I think I could remove the plastic piece that is attached to cover the seam and possibly get away with it but I have decided to get a leveling kit to help clear that one rub point. We will see how it goes. As far as putting the tires on the stock rims I would not feel safe having that wide of tire on a 9 inch wide rim. I will post how the leveling kit works out with the aftermarket tires and wheels.

As a follow up, I got my 2.5" Ready Lift Level kit installed and put the 35x12.5x20 tires with the Fuel Assault 20x10 rims with -18 offset and they look great but I still have rubbing at the rear of the front fenders as I turn and hit an incline and or bump I cut off the plastic that protrudes at the corner and that helped but I still rub at times. I guess I will have to remove more in the area and even some metal to keep from rubbing as the tire articulates. I was hoping for no rub but on the inner liners but nope, I do not rub the liners at all, just the inner fenders. Anyone have any ideas before I cut my fender metal???

Stock 20s come on 8" wheels. The general recommendation is to not run a tire that is greater than 4" of the wheel. With that said, plenty of people run 12.50s on stock rims with zero issues.

I agree many have done it and not had any issues. For the safety of others on the road we should listen to what tire manufacturers recommend.
