So was replacing my sons fuel pump on his '99. Had a couple of hicups but not too bad. The big one was breaking the fuel tank pressure sensor trying to get it to lock back in the new unit. $90.00+ mess up. Got a few of the evap hoses while I was under there. These were rotted pretty bad. The fuel lines look to be fairly new and I see that someone has replaced the rear brake line running back. Here is my big question. This expy has 290k on it and I think this may be the original pump. Here is the tag on the wire loom.
If so that is pretty amazing to be 21 yrs old with 290k on it.
Could be. Maybe the previous owner(s) kept the tank above 25% religiously. Maybe it was all highway miles. Maybe they chose quality gasoline instead of shopping by the lowest price. Maybe some combination of the three.
