I have a 96 F-250 That the heater is not blowing very hot air. Coolant is topped off. Both heater core hoses are hot. I pulled the cover off the heater core and found a pen and pencil keeping the blend door from shutting. Has anyone ever had the cable stretch? Without any obstructions the blend door still does not completely close. Is it supposed too? And is their a way to adjust the cables so it does?
The heat is much better than it was, but it is not really cold out to test it. Here is some pics of what I have. I don't really want to tear it all apart if it's for nothing.
You can adjust the cable by taking it out of the retaining clip behind the glove box. Reposition the door and the **** then put the cable back in the clip.
