I am an Oregon native living on the southern Oregon coast for 25 years and almost 3 years in Portland now. My family had a 2000 V10 Ex for 10-15 years and the parents recently sold it as my mom no longer drives. Two years later (but two weeks ago) I ended up buying my own 2003 Ex which is in pretty damn good condition for its age. I have slowly been finding the quirks of the rig over the last couple weeks...
I was only given one key and fob. For some reason the key didn’t work in the rear lift gate so I went to a locksmith and got that fixed along with two more chipped keys cut and programmed...cost for that was about $155. Unfortunately I broke the actuator mount pulling everything apart then ordered the wrong sided actuator. Correct one is now on the way ($35).
Anyhow, now that I have two+ programmed keys, I can have a remote start/turbo cool down installed. Planning on doing so at Best Buy where install is included. Looking at the Viper 4706v system.
I assumed when I bought this Ex that it came stock with a 7.3PSD but in taking a close look after purchase, I am thinking it used to have a 6.8 V10. The VIN indicates as much anyhow. Sticker under hood also indicates this truck had spark plugs. Engine components also look newish. So I believe someone swapped the engine and did all kinds of stuff...delete, banks trans command, and edge tuner. My VIN doesn’t work in the tuner screen so I tried to find the engine’s VIN. I have included a photo of the numbers next to the oil filter but they are hard to read. Take a look and let me know what you think they may be?
I see 2FD22607 and 2U1930665. When I put them together I get 2FD226072U1930665 which looks like a VIN number but finds zero results online.
The folks that know about this kind of thing don't usually frequent the "New Member Introductions" forum. You might might want to post in "1999 to 2016 Super Duty", "Excursion - King of SUVs", or "1999 - 2003 7.3L Power Stroke Diesel" to get some answers flowing.

Welcome aboard!
I will try there. I know the 2FD22607 are the last eight but they didn’t work in reverse either. I need the engine VIN to get into my tuner screen.
Welcome to FTE. You really need to take this to the proper forum. The folks that deal with this model truck will know it inside and out.
Try under, Newer light duty trucks.
And don't forget to check out your state chapter.
Hmm I’ve never heard an Excursion referred to as light duty. I’ll give it a try though. And as for the forum, I have posted in the others but I thought it a good introduction for myself.

And I have never heard of the Excursion being referred to as, "Ex". There are the Explorer and Expedition too.
It's always good to submit an introduction. Along with that, you may want to develop a "signature" for the bottom of your posts to. It keeps people in tune with you and your vehicle.

Yeah I am still waiting on the ability to make a signature. Gotta make like 25 post or something.
