1999 Expedition trans. problem
Have a 99 Expedition that intermittently will shift up and down between the speeds of 40 to 65 for no reason.Will shift harshly back and forth rapidly,then work fine for several days at a time.Never had a problem under 40 or over 65.Check engine light came on and I had the NAPA dealer check it with his code reader,said to check "ECM"? and or shift solenoid "A"?He also said these vehicles had grounding issues.Been a great rig,any advice??? Thanks

What was the result when you had the ECM and Shift Solenoid A checked out?

I haven't had anything checked yet,other than the code.I like to do my own repairs,partly because I know what was done and who to blame if it's not fixed right.Was hoping someone would tell me what needs changed or fixed as it might be a common problem.Vehicle has been running great lately.I will have to go back and find the exact code and will get back to you. Thanks
