This has been the best vehicle I have ever owned at age 56. I love that it is on the F 150 frame, which is excellence, as well as being a luxury suv. I have never had any costly major repairs, and it still drives like new at 150k.
i too think the same, most comfortable/fits me the best than our other vehicles. bought it new, has just under 116k miles, 5.4 with awd. last few years it has become my winter vehicle and the salt/brine is taking its toll. exhaust studs/manifolds need replaced and i'm not sure i want to spend the money on it.
i can still set the cruise @ 80 with the air on and travel all day and it still gets 16/17 mpg highway. (just don't step on the running boards lol)
Yeah, I've got a 2005. It was in a little rough running condition when I bought it in 2013, but fixed it the right way and has been running strong ever since. Sadly it was repainted before I got it, and that paintjob was not really great. It looked fine back then, but now the clear coat is shot and it needs to be resprayed. But that's just cosmetic, it still runs and drives really great. Only one problem on it which I have to fix, which is the 4wd wheel hub actuator in the front. At the moment I just unplugged the vacuum solenoid to it to get rid of the noise. Could be tempting to get a new vehicle at some point, but I love the fact that it's mine and it's fully paid for, there is something in having that rather than a new ride with a loan attached to it...
