Ok FTE gurus. Who will take this challenge? This was found in the valley just below the HPOP; I just replaced my injectors. In preparations for starting I filled the HPOP and cranked the engine over - had the 42pin connector discounted. I did this procedure three times and was going to do the final start later after reconnecting the 42pin connector, allowing the batteries to recharge. I also had fresh oil in the valley draining down from the rear of the engine, but I’m thinking I left the HPOP fill plug loose the third time of the procedure.
But this green o-ring has me stumped. I haven’t changed any other items nor opened any systems that would contain an o-ring such as this.
So, what say you FTE folks?
Let’s see if this works with my pics.
By the way I think I know where this o-ring came from. Recently I had a shop replace an AC hose on the back of the compressor and I suspect they dropped it down into the valley. I had no reason to check the valley until this oil leak while cranking the engine after my injector installation.
Thanks Cleatus. They are millimeters, 2.5cm = 1”,
25mm =1”.
I think I referenced what I thought was an oil leak turned out to actually be a fuel leak at the fuel bowl where the FRX is added. I loosened the large hex nut and in the course of installing injectors forgot to tighten it back. So, I’m ready to crank the girl up tomorrow and see how she sounds.
Thanks again to this great FTE forum.
