High idle and random missfire
Alright guys I have 95 f150 2wd with the 5.8 I originally had a miss in cylinder 3 and got that fixed it was a bad injector replaced all 8 and had no issue then truck started acting funny took it to my mechanic and was told I had a bad ground that was cause me to have a random miss that was jumping around to all cylinders and caused me to run very rich just burning through gas I traced all grounds cleaned them and everything and still had the problem then the truck started to have a high idle at 1500 rpm and would slam into gear I replaced the tps still nothing took it back to my mechanic and he found a few vacuum leaks fixed them and still had high idle he pulled a computer from another truck and the truck ran fine told me I needed a new computer so I replaced that today and the idle would go down to about a 1000 rpm and would some time go up to 1500 on start up does anybody know what the problem could be I was told the iac was fine but my timing could be off could it cause the issue I'm having I've replaced everything the engine control module the computer the plugs wires distributor cap and rotor the map sensor u name it

replacing computer fix miss? recheck for codes after new computer? It should idle up on start-up 1300-1500RPM then come down as it warms up, was TPS checked for being clocked right? did you mean (ICM) did they give you the right color one (Black) not Grey,
