Forscan Global Window Up Help

So going trough the spreadsheet and playing with forscan, I found the GWU sequence. My question is are these number/letter sequences correct? I have never seen Xs in the code, I just feel that's not right.

I haven't changed any code yet because I obviously don't want to brick it.

If I'm not mistaken, the x's mean what your current numbers/letters are, you don't change those. Only change the ones listed. I did this to my 17 and works great, ensure that the windows up and down is selected on the menu screen in the gauge cluster.

Ok, that makes more sense. I just figured the numbers would be there since they have the before/ after.

Before and after for the "X" values could be different for each truck depending on the as-built spec. Registers can also control multiple function - using the "X" allows only the values related to the modification to be defined.

I think I have a different spreadsheet at home- I only changed 1 line to enable mine. And yes, the Xs signify vehicle specific digits that you don't change.

I just used the IPC(bottom line for global windows). It added the option to my advanced settings. It works great once turned on there. I figured this way I could turn it off in the future without having to connect forscan again.
Link isn't working

Try now, it copied differently this time for some reason. It's a workbook with tabs for instructions, etc

EpicCowlick posted it in a thread on this site. If it doesn't work again do a search for "forscan codes for 2017 super duty".

I believe that's the one I have that's edited above, I just wanted to compare.

Apparently I had the wrong obd2 adapter anyway. Ordered an elm with the mscan switch, hopefully that works.

This is the one I have. It’s not cheap but it works great and no switches to fool with.

I have no issues with the USB ones. I ordered one of the list.
