I have an Auto X-Ray scanner and did a KOER test on my 1993 F-150 6cyl. 5 speed. Trouble code 213 appeared: "Spark Output Circuit Open" In my Chilton Ford Truck manual code 213 is worded "Spout circuit open" is this a misprint? And, just what do I look for and check. On the schematic on page 6-73 the "spout check" connector goes between the ignition control module and pin 36 of the power train module. The ignition module is connected to the ignition coil, ignition suppressor resistor and +12 volts. Any ideas on the problem component(s)setting this code? Thanks!!!!!!!

 

How is the engine running ?

 

engine starts and runs o.k. but when shifting from first to second it bogs or has some hesitation. Almost like it wants to miss but does not. In third, fourth and overdrive seems fine. Check engine light does not come on. Replaced oxygen sensor with no change in symptoms.
