Pixie dust, unicorn sighting, and a reliable Dodge 4X4 are all more common... but it can happen. Cody tunes in central Montana.

Well I had a reliable Dodge, now I have this thing.....and my 2 year old believes in the other 2.....so maybe it’s possible.....!?!

Tunes from Cody are a wonderful thing (from what I have seen). Although, unless you can meet him in person and knock out some tuning, they are very hard to come by.

There are several other good tuners out there. I ran Gear Head for years and was happy with them. I then tried 1023 Tuning and was happy with them. Since installing a Borg Warner SXE turbo I run a hit PHP tune as a daily driver and heavy tow tune.

Do some reading, ask some questions and make informed decisions.

Does anybody have a link for the best step by step instructions for the Cody Test. I searched for it but the results are most recent discussions. I also looked to see if Tugly had it in his signature and it didn't seem to be there. (@Tugly please add!)

I give a quick rundown of the test in the thread below, but nothing step by step. Also, others have some comments that add to the process.

Really you are just pushing air into the HPOP lines or oil rail at 100 psi and listening for air bubbles which indicates a leaking injector o-ring.

Sous: Good job! Never leave, never sell your truck. Same for Tugly. From a brief review of your thread, it looks like I can do this test with the glow plugs out, correct?

Thanks, I only try to return the favor for those that have taught me along the way.

Yes, the oil system that you will be pressurizing with air should not have anything to do with the glow plugs being out of the engine.

Well you hit the nail on the head.....I like this hydra tuner a lot. Now just have to figure out why I get a P1316 on a cold start that goes away when it comes to temp and being cleared
