I recently bought my first "Jailbar" pickup . . . a 1/2 ton Ford pickup with a Flathead V8. It's all original and it runs and drives. I'd like to keep it completely stock and just drive it as-is. It is a neat old pickup and I am SO excited about this.

This old truck seems to have everything complete except for the grille bars. They are all missing. Does anyone have a used set of grille bars that they would want to sell? I'm having a lot of trouble finding them. Even some rough or bent ones would be better than driving around with nothing on the front.

Your best bet is to hawk Ebay as the bars show up there from time to time. They do seems to be getting pretty scarce and bars in good condition are even harder to find. Some places like Mac's used to have repop bars (chromed) for sale but they weren't the best quality from what I hear. Glad you are saving the truck and good luck in your quest. Post up some pics when you can.

I appreciate it. I'll keep an eye on EBay . . . if any other users on this forum happened to replace their bars with chrome repops and want to sell their old originals, I'd love to buy them!

I have a full set I took off my 46 School bus I can get pics later tomorrow. They are in rough shape. I was working on straightening them but decided to purchase a new set instead.

i may have access to a set. what would you be willing to pay for a decent set? I ask because I want to make sure its worth the effort of getting them from the owner, removing, shipping, etc.
