1986 EFI 5.0 will not start
Hi
I have a 1986 F150 with fuel injected 5.0
I was driving and the engine shut off and would not restart, it cranks over but wont start.
Checked the fuel pressure and it has 40 PSI, verified there is no spark. Checked the + side of the coil and am getting 12v
Using this troubleshooting page to test the TFI module - https://easyautodiagnostics.com/ford...module-tests-1,
pin 4 to ground has 12v but pin 6 to the pos side of the battery is only 7.5v and has 2665 ohms of resistance to ground.
So before I take my trusty wire cutters and splice a wire to ground is there a ground lug that this wire goes to that I can check to see if it is loose?
Thanks

That ground wire from the ignition module goes all the way back to the computer on pin 16. Pin 20 on the computer is the computer ground, It comes out, goes through a connector at the right hand side of the dash, and then goes to G710 and G208. G710 is a ground lug on the left hand side of the dash panel, and G208 is a ground lug near the throttle position solenoid.
