2019 F350 gasser

Looking for recommendations for chip/runner to improve performance/horsepower. Has anyone heard of or used “chip my truck” It’s “a plug and drive “ module that says can increase horsepower by as much as 60hp with a 5 mpg improvement. Sounds to good to be true.

I use an SCT X4 tuner on my 6.0L 2006 F350. SCT has a tuner made for your truck called the BDX. Pretty sure customer tuners can cook up tunes for more HP and torque than the canned SCT tunes for the 6.2 gasser.

Chip My Truck is a gimmick, nothing more. Any time you see generic "one size fits all" tuning solutions that make outlandish claims like they do, it's complete junk. Don't you think if it was that easy to gain 4-5mpg that Ford and every other manufacturer would be doing that?

We can get SCT products for you cheaper than you'll find any listed prices for those products anywhere.

Thanks, based on what I read you can tune for HP, this looks like the way to go. From what I’ve seen these guys make a great product and gets high marks on this forum and others. Do you know what if any impact this might have on the warranty.?

Thats why I asked and agree it falls under the to good to be true category. From what I’ve read STX or in my case BDX is the way to go.

Google is your friend. You had best be able to restore the stock programming if you do use a tune and have a warranty issue.

Keep in mind when asking about tunes, tuners, chips and such, most only have tried one and that one selection reflects their buying prowess and intelligence and they will tout their purchase religiously. I often wonder why a sticky with reports on each gizmo and option hasn't been started so folks could tell how the gizmo they bought was better than sliced cheese or the opposite and give folks a stack of reports in one place rather than a zillion threads.

You are so right, it’s true about almost everything. People are either looking for validation on their decision or there ego won’t allow them to be wrong. Sometimes in when the facts and research are stacked against them...human nature I suppose.
