which oil

been a while since i did my own oil change - with the 90 degrees here what numbered oil do i use i think FORD was putting in a blend

The oil filler cap on my 2012 5.0 4x4 has '5w-20' stamped onto it. Pretty sure it calls for syn-blend, which I've used. Sometimes I use full synthetic.

5W 20 Motorcraft Synthetic Blend. It takes 7.7 Quarts by the Manual on page 399.

Walmart has it for under $20 for 5 quarts and I just buy 2 when I am there since I will change it again and just save it.

thanks guy`s now i have to find who has it we have ADVANCED AUTO - O`REILLYS - ONE OTHER ONE near me - yea the 8 qis. i know i have to buy was a little shock when i bought it new never thought it took 8 qts. - never really had a problem - the WRANGLERS that came with the truck were done at 27,000 miles - i put the level kit on it made it look sooo much better again thanks

Advance and O'reilly's both near me have it for about $10 more for 5 guarts than Wal Mart.

just went to wal mart the whole thing cost $44.00 - when my guy will change oil and filt. and check ALL THE MAIN things on my truck it really isin`t worth it - he does it for $49.00 - oh well this is the last time i do it i guess
