Most Ford truck owners go about adding lift, so it's amusing to see what happens when someone tries to go the other way.

I had an Audi A4 that was clearance challenged--more so with 3 or 4 people in it. PITA.
On the other hand, a friend had inquired with his city about a speed bump for his street. The city guy rolled his eyes and went into a recitation of all the legal troubles the city faces from the bumps.
I think you were right. Buy a truck, drive it safely--no problems with speed bumps!

I'd love to see fools like this be prosecuted for being stupid----maybe that'd cure them from complaining about vehicle damage they cause by their own doing.
Not sure about the rest of the country but here in Ohio our roads are in such need of repair even driving a truck with more ground clearance doesn't assure we're not testing our suspensions to their limits.
