Project beastie 1956 Ford F on a 1979 chassis

Hello Gentlemen,
I am restoring this truck shown below.I will be building a custom chassis mount aluminum camper. The truck consists of a 1956 F series cab on 1979 F600 4 x 4 running gear. It is a five speed 390. The 390 conversion will be replaced with a brand new highly modified 300 six. I have extensive F600 experience but no 50s classics background.
In looking at body panels from aftermarket suppliers. I am wondering if these are chinese stampings and junk.. are some better than others?

And where might be some good places to look for repo cab interior parts.. NPD? Ford Only.. where you dont get slammed cost wise. Obviously LMC.. very proud of their parts gotten from other suppliers.

Thank you for your suggestions

This is very interesting!
I`ve had decent luck with the very few aftermarket patch panels I ever needed, I got them from a Canadian supplier.
Hopefully someone more knowledgeable will jump in.

Nice project! I've had good luck with my 3 trucks getting parts from Lmc, also got some from Dennis Carpenter, check the prices, some lmc stuff actually comes from Dennis c, the truck I'm building right now Dennis c was cheaper on interior parts.

Carpenter's stuff is good but sometimes more expensive but he has flat rate prices. MidFifty has good stuff and good service but they charge more for shipping. Mid West Early Ford has good stuff and charges you exact shipping rates. Most of the stuff is made by the same manufacturer.

So it might depend where you live to determine who to buy from.

Show us more pictures please.
