400whp 5.0
What’s up guys as I am new to the forum! I bought a 2014 f150 with the 5L coyote and was wondering if 400whp or close to it was achievable reliably on 93 without any type of forced induction. I know a good exhaust, cold air, gt ported intake, throttle body and custom tuning will up the HP and torque a good amount but will it be in the 400 wheel hp range? Preferably a little more.

In short, NO, not Rear Wheel HP anyway... I have a Mod'd 2013 w/a 5.0 & just Dyno'd her today, 326 RWHP
The shop stated I'd have at least a 20% gain, IF measured on an Engine Dyno, factoring Driveline loss & my 20" wheels.
You can see my Build Thread below, although, I haven't added anything about the Dyno "yet"

Yeap, pretty much & trust me, I was greatly shocked as well as disappointed. Because yes, I've spent a lot of money & with how hard my truck is pulling now, I was convinced it would've made appx 40 more than it did. I drive a 2018 AWD Dodge Charger w/a 5.7 Hemi, daily & from 0-70'ish mph, my F150 (she pulls HARD from a Dig) will outrun the Charger.... Mind Blown right now!

I would say you would beat the 1500's also. If you are pulling the Charger.
I should be around 30HP more at the wheels running premium since I am 24HP more on Regular gas.

Do you have a ported GT intake manifold on yours? I’m in several 5.0 f150 groups on fb and they say it makes a big difference, I’m thinking that header backs, CAI, gt cams and an actual dyno tune would get close to the 400 wheel mark, I bet it would on an e85 tune but there’s no pumps in my town and I hear the mustang cams can be pricey.

I don't play with the Chargers around here with the extra lights, but mine has been known to beat up on a Hemi or or 2 in Ram 1500's that kept telling me they beat 5.0's in F150, I just look at them and say so do I, big deal. I don't think they know the 6.2 was in a non Raptor f150.

If its any consolation, I'd love to have a 6.2 & in fact is another reason I love Russ's (AlaskanEx) Truck, besides how gorgeous it is
