75 from 2wd to 4wd

Rode out to flagstaff last year and picked up this old girl...

460, c6, and the course spline garbage rearend.

I promptly tore out the suspension and axle and transmission to make it 4wd. Had a brand new 700r4 and dodge np205 from another project. And swapped in a mini 14 bolt and a Dana 44 front with chromoly axles and u joints. This will never be a hardcore wheeler, Just a mountain cruiser and tower.

The 460 got the Edelbrock treatment for the top end. Bought a set of l and l headers and made a 3” stainless exhaust with some borla mufflers. Came out sounding pretty good.

Rear suspension is using the stock springs with the overloads removed and a shackle flip from ruffstuff and a set of rs9000’s to control the damping

I wanted a flat belly pan so I clocked the t-case and made a new mount setup for it.

Looks good, could you give us more detail and pictures of the front axle conversion?
Thanks

I’ll try and get a couple of pics. Basically I kept the spring over axle setup and used the 2” procomp springs for a highboy. Made a spring hanger for the front and drilled the rear frame and welded in some tubing for the upper shackle mount. My initial impressions are that it’s too stiff even with the rancho rs9000’s. But maybe they will break in. I did a high steer crossover steering setup to keep the bumpsteer at bay. Used a Saginaw box with a 4” drop pitman arm and a gm pump.
