E-150 Spark Plugs

E-150 Spark Plugs
Have a 1999 E-150 with the 5.4 engine. Yes it has blown out a spark plug. Here is my dilemma. I need a new coil which I already have purchase 8 brand new ones. Thought about replacing the spark plugs but my mechanic said it was not that long ago I had them replaced and they are holding good. Said he would be scared to pull them and put me ones in and maybe have a problem blowing them or something else/ Thinking of just replacing the coils

I don't understand a bit of this---your mechanic says don't change plugs because he's scared they'll blow or be ejected? How many miles on whatever plugs you currently have installed? How many miles on the whole engine? What brand of coils have you purchased?
