Maybe, this only works if there is a paint code formula out there that the gun will recognize. I had a bodyshop try to match the paint on a old Galaxie I was restoring. They got close but no cigar. The car had been custom painted and the color gun wasn't much help.

It makes a new formula just like the systems that places like Menards uses for house paints. Things have come along way when it comes to matching paint.
