So I'm at a loss. I have a good ground on the battery, power to the computer, no communication from the computer to the relay but have power at the relay. Tps is bad but I unplugged it so the injectors will still fire. Spark is good at the coil and the plug. Fuel pump only comes on if I jump it out, and cant pull codes because the test light doesn't flash it just stays on, after I cycle the key it will do a quick flash and wait about 5 seconds and then turn on and stay on. Would it be reasonable to think that I may need a computer.

I haven't pulled codes with a testlight in years but as I remember it, if you're connected properly and everything is working correctly, the testlight should show you more than what you're seeing.

Also, the pump should prime for a brief moment upon initial KEY-ON.

Yes, I'd try a different computer.

There's a chance, but you really need one programmed for your application & configuration.

It's a stock truck. Only thing for the future is exhaust wheels and tires. I wouldn't think I would need a custom programmed computer for 180hp 302 would need such a thing.

thank you. It is an 86 f150 2x4 5.0 aod. The computer in it now I'm pretty sure belongs to a 4.9. My working theory is when the tps went out the guy replaced the computer thinking it was that. I'm going to a junkyard this weekend that's is just 80s and up Ford trucks. I got a few things to get for this truck my 08 and the 2013. If he doesn't have the exact computer I need I'll just go buy a new one
