I believe I'm seeing that it should be 7 degree, single groove, for a .375" diameter valve stem?

Pulled the rail. The offending rocker is boogered from banging on the hardened valve lock, the valve lock is boogered from the rocker banging on it. Push rod seems fine. Replacing the rocker spacer springs, the offending rocker, and the valve lock. Rocker rail is all assembled just need to replace the valve lock (need to go buy a tire valve tool so I can use my compression tester to pressurize the cylinder) and bolt everything back up.

good news is everything else looks great. No odd wear, no sludge, the ends of the rockers are smooth And the rail was too with very little wear no pitting or anything that would indicate a lack of oiling.

only thing that surprised me is all the original rockers have a bronze bushing inside, and the new rocker does not. I’m assuming it was done for a reason, likely just to make it cheaper, and that it will be fine (it slid right on nice and smooth) but still, odd that it doesn’t match the rest.

You can reuse that rocker the damage on the edge is out the contact area, so no issues reusing it. And you can always have it refaced. I would try to keep the original bushed rocker any ways.

So, been driving the truck since Saturday morning, running smooth and quiet. So, I'll call this one a success.

I have the other 3 springs, I will replace the factory ones on the passenger side in the coming weeks.

Sounds like you lucked out.

you made sure you have the rocker shafts oriented properly with the oil holes down I hope. this is commonly overlooked.

Yes I did, made sure the notch/mark in the one end was still at the 5 o’clock position.

I only removed 3 of the 4 legs so that made sure everything was oriented the same way.
