Broken rocker spacer spring and rocker slipped off valve
#17
Pulled the rail. The offending rocker is boogered from banging on the hardened valve lock, the valve lock is boogered from the rocker banging on it. Push rod seems fine. Replacing the rocker spacer springs, the offending rocker, and the valve lock. Rocker rail is all assembled just need to replace the valve lock (need to go buy a tire valve tool so I can use my compression tester to pressurize the cylinder) and bolt everything back up.
good news is everything else looks great. No odd wear, no sludge, the ends of the rockers are smooth And the rail was too with very little wear no pitting or anything that would indicate a lack of oiling.
only thing that surprised me is all the original rockers have a bronze bushing inside, and the new rocker does not. I’m assuming it was done for a reason, likely just to make it cheaper, and that it will be fine (it slid right on nice and smooth) but still, odd that it doesn’t match the rest.

I only removed 3 of the 4 legs so that made sure everything was oriented the same way.
