Could be the clutch switch.
I broke mine trying to get it off. So I used one of those crimp on connectors that is forked
to go around a screw. I shoved it into the female connector plug and it works. Just have
to connect the two wires together.
You could try that.
Where do you live in Eastern, Or.? I have a friend that lives in Baker, Or. with a 7.3.

Ahh, i remember a few good whoopins from the badgers when i was still in middle school about that time.
Unfotrunately, your issue could be ign. switch, bad wire, bad ground, bad solenoid (either one) bad ignition actuator rod in the column, bad starter... i could go on. Try jumping the solenoid that will rule out a few things.
