Just saw this in eBay, the 53-55 back cab panel is reproduced. Selling for $990.90. I don't know the gauge. It says it is made from EDP coated steel.

Is there a difference between the slant cab and the 56 cab with regards to the rear section? I have always thought that they were interchangeable...
I have known a few folks who have installed the 56 BBW mod in their slant cabs without issue, never have measured the rear section but it is interesting that the ebay vendor cites 53-55 and not 56.
As I recall, each of the slant cab trucks I worked on had under-bed mounted gas tanks and had the filler hole filled...looks like a good option if a slant cab owner needed a back panel and wanted to eliminate the gas filler hole too.

 

They are the same except for some variation in the rear wall ribs and obviously the gas filler location

 

Both Carpenter and MidFifty are selling them. I wanna check one out at the Grand Nationals.
