My '09 Explorer liftgate won't "grab" and stay shut when I close it. It simply bounces back at me when I try to shut it. The glass portion works fine but the full liftgate doesn't. Any thoughts? The problem just started this week - it worked earlier in the day and then just stopped.

The rear windshield wiper also doesn't work right now but I presume that is because the liftgate isn't full shut (I have it strapped down at the moment so I can still drive it).
