As in the title I have just installed a 529hp/ 502tq 347 Stroker. I was told my stock ecu should at least run the new motor. However due to pretty radical build (custom ground 576 cam, lift 110 separation, AFR 205 Heads. Scat forged bottom end ) I can’t get my truck to idle. It will start with WOT. Then you must feather the pedal to keep it running. And it’s RICH. Did I say RICH? 42lb Bosch injectors, and 80mm Pro-M MAF calibrated for 42lb injectors. Seemed to be zero vacuum leaks. I called Compcams and they advised the custom cam I had was on the verge of not being a daily driver Due to the cam. After a second attempt to start the engine 2 days later, it fires right up but still refuses to idle by itself unless I barely touch the pedal. I had it idling at 1000rpms for about 30 seconds with my foot touching the pedal. All the while it was putting the fuel out the tail pipe. Smell fuel very strong and then it loaded up the plugs. What company is the best to burn a custom order chip????? Thanks in advance.

 

Im not an expert but I dont think a chip will solve anuthing. You will likely need the have your pcm reprogrammed or get something like a Moates Quarter Horse. The difference in air flow and displacement is giving your stock pcm a brain overload.

 

You need a tuner, order a Moates Quarterhorse and either learn to tune yourself or find somebody that can do it. That motor will take some time to dial in which means you will go through a bunch of tunes before it's right and that will cost a fortune if you go the chip route.
