I'm not sure where the SN break is, it was a mid year change . but like Moose said the transfer case is a sure way to tell. all high boys had seat gas tank and visible crossmember below the front bumper as well. these are fast easy ways to tell.
Looking at a 77 F250, not sure if its an official high boy. No such thing as an "official" High Boy. High Boy is not FoMoCo terminology, it's an enthusiasts term.
This is not a High Boy, the last High Boy was assembled February 1977 before serial number Y20,001.
All 1967/77 F250 4WD "High Boys" have a divorced transfer case and an in-cab fuel tank.
ALL Ford trucks, Bronco's and Econolines use the same serial number sequence.
This truck was one of the last 1977's assembled, because the last 1977 serial number was Z25,000.
Production Date printed on the upper left of the Certification Label, glued to the left "B" pillar (door post) below the striker plate. Label also has the VIN printed on it.
