Idi to pad swap

The frames are the same all the way up to 1998 for the f250/350. So mounts for a powerstroke up to 1998 should fit. Never done it before, don't know about any possible hole drilling.
Powerstrokes were being used starting around 1994. So that means all those setups had a electronic speedometer with a speed sensor and usually the PSOM in the cluster. I bring that up because you will need to make plans to put a speed sensor somewhere on your truck for the engine computer, it was usually mounted in the rearend. So you are possible looking at a rearend swap. And you will probablybe using the transmission that comes with the powerstroke correct? If it's 2wd, you may be in trouble, there is no way to get the mechanical speedometer in your old truck to work with the newer trans. If you are 4x4, you could mate your old transfer case to the newer 4x4 trans and get by since the speedo cable on a 4x4 comes out of the transfer case.
You will have to swap the complete fuel system and all the lines and the tanks.
You will have to figure out the radiator. Don't know if your old radiator will hook up. Not sure if the newer radiator will fit the older core support.
You will have to get a wiring diagram and figure out all the wires.
If your older truck is a automatic, and you plan to swap to a powerstroke with a manual trans, you will have to get the manual pedals from a 1986-dwn truck and swap them in place. 1987-up pedals will not bolt in a 1986-dwn truck, so the powerstroke donor pedals will not fit.
Lots of other things probably that I have not mentioned.
