Is there a snowballs chance in hell of sliding the chrome into the corresponding gasket after it’s installed into the truck? Or am I stuck with a gasket with slots in it?
I would say no. I watched the professional glass guy fight for an hour and a half installing mine off the truck when he did the windshield, said no way he could do it on the truck.

No. We found that out at a Ford dealership, when the bodyshop tried to install the molding after the windshield was in. Molding blew off and the dealer had to buy new molding.
