I hear both sides of it at work, there are the Nay Sayers, and the OMG, its Local, and we are all going to die.

We have the self proclaimed experts, who know everything about it, and we have the ones who don't know what to believe, because they have seen so many falsehoods in the news.

I think we have been lucky here in Manhattan given the size of our population and the very limited number of diagnoses cases. I believe the closing of KSU and schools that was done early made a big difference. Grand Island, Nebraska is about the same size as Manhattan and they have well over 200 cases and the hospitals are full. Most of the initial cases were at a packing plant where people worked in close proximity with no protective gear, but we could have had the same thing if KSU especially hadn't closed.

I want to say that the Dodge City packing plants had one case, then all of a sudden had a bunch, but the numbers don't seem to reflect it. Maybe they were actually talking about the Nebraska one.

I was sure we'd be over COVID by now. Now I'm thinking 2022...

Covid will be here from now on. How bad we won’t know. Probably closer to cold seasons than flu. I don’t think it or the issue will go away after the election but may be less of a political football.

It's amazing, Covid is the cure for Flu. Since Covid, nobody has died of the Flu.
