Rusted Out 1956 F-100 Rat Rod is More Than it Seems

This classic truck just wears its age on the outside. Because after all isn't it best to always be young at heart?

 

I don't know if that is real patina or faux-tina but it looks good.

I know that chrome grilles were optional in 56, But why put a shiny new chrome grille on an old looking unpainted truck. Furthermore, why put shiny stainless bumpers on a stock looking unpainted truck..... Not to mention the step plates on the running boards.

 

This is the second time the Curator has highlighted this truck too

 

I just don't get the "patina" fad, especially if it's fake or on a truck with a load of modifications.

 

They couldn't afford to paint it so call it finished Bob..
