Correct 6v battery cables??
Hey Ya'll,
When i first started posting on FTE and explained i was new to older vehicles (pre 70s). Many of you told me to get double ought (00) battery cables. Im glad that was mentioned. However im having a hard time finding the exact ones! Some places say they have f1 cables but they are the guage that would go in my 86 crown vic, not the thick ones. Anybody know of a good place to get them? (Website)....i did look at tractor supply, and they only had 2guage. 1949 m47 truck 8ba flathead.
Thank you
John

it's cheaper to make them. Google 2/0 welding wire or go to a welding supply store and buy it by the foot and get the connectors for the truck end there. Check google for 'good quality' battery terminals, either crimp on or solder on... also find heat shrink tubing.
I've got an article on my wiring and about a page down I discuss battery cables... pictures included that might help

These folks look reasonable for genuine 2/0 copper battery cable. Red or black.
