1950 F2 short bed build

So already you are wondering what the heck I am talking about. There is no 1950 F2 short bed. Sometimes you roll with what you got. Sometime before I got this truck some PO decided to put an F1 bed on it. Rather than do it right from the start, they put the bed on and added a short section on the front and cut the rear of the frame off. It was a very solid truck, very little rust. So I decided to roll with it.

Looks like a good project truck. What are your plans?

There was a lot of loose stuff and stuff just needed fixin' I have been working on it for a while now. I will post pics as I get time. To summarize , frame shortened, add piece removed from frame to the back where it had been cut off. It will get a 302-aod (88 T-bird, flat 6 was locked up) and Explorer rear end. Front will retain the straight axle with disc conversion, 5 lug to match rear axle.

Good looking truck, Keep those pictures coming. I see the Mustang Crossmember lying on the floor, Who's kit did you purchase ? Did you get it installed yet ?

The kit is from Speedway. I have the cross-member tacked in place and waiting on suspension parts to final fit.

It was a good productive weekend. I was able to get the front cab mounts replaced and get the cab mounted back on.
