Bran new 2019
hearing a thumping sound, only after truck is up to temp and only during light throttle low RPMs. Sounds like somebody tapping on the bottom of a plastic 5 gallon bucket.
Went back to the dealership and test drove three other 2019's and two didn't make the sound and one did.
Back in late 2017 while I was on vacation I rented a 2018 F150 3.5 and it had the same sound.

What the hell is it? Anyone have any ideas?

I’d give it back.
That is unless they can provide an
explanation and a proven fix.

 

Well this is the 4th f150 I've either owned or driven that's made the sound, my old 2013 3.5, a 2018 F150 3.5 rental on vacation at the end of 2017, the other 2019 at the dealership the other night and this one. Of course I've been in or driven multiple that did not make the sound either.

Would really love to know what the sound is coming from.

 

Found a few other people who have it also but no one knows what it is
