New '18 Ingot Silver SCrew 5.0 - traded '13

Welp, took the plunge on Wednesday with a deal I couldn't pass up. Was originally looking for a SCrew STX in Magnetic and was planning to order exactly what I wanted. Have a friend at a dealer in NH that had some great deals going on leftover 18s. This one ticked most of the boxes and got a respectable trade in number on my '13. Only things I'll need to learn to live with is a bit more chrome than I'm used to and was hoping for a center console vs jump seat but I'll live. I must say, quite an upgrade from my outgoing STX.

Details:
4x4 5.0 3.31s (open diff)
XLT 302A (Remote start and heated seats is a nice perk!)
Trailer tow pkg
20" PVD wheels
36 gallon fuel tank
TBC
XLT Power Equp group (rear window, power inverter, boxlights)

Payload is 1739lbs (GVWR 7000) which is a nice bump from 1600lbs in outgoing truck and is fine for my purposes. Frame sticker says "HD" - anyone know if that is the beefy frame available on 145" WB trucks?

Looks like this 18 was one that shipped without the ability to disable autolock from the cluster, so I have already ordered a Forscan adapter to add it back along with some other planned programming changes. Loving sync 3 so far, nice simple UI. Have android auto all set up and works great for navigation.

Planned mods:
-Tint front windows
- Husky floormats (Done)
- Weathertech No Drill mudflaps (Done - Ended up getting OEM Ford flaps)
- Ford OR rugged liners rear liners (haven't decided... looking for input/recommendations) (Done - OEM)
- Line X bed - had it in last truck and happy with it (Done)
- Bed Cover - BakFlip F1 (Installed)
- Either DIY or Built Right Industries rear seat back access (Done - DIY)

That's it. Plan to leave everything else stock and just drive an enjoy. I must say, this things SCOOTS compared to outgoing 5.0. Going to take a little getting used to the 10 speed, but liking it so far.

Spent lots of time on the '09 - '14 forum, look forward to getting to know you folks.

As threads are useless without pics, here are few quick ones:

Congrats on the 2018!! I recommend the husky wheel liners. Easy to install (as long as the weather is warm)...and they really do cover the rear!! I installed mine when I purchased my 2017 new...and they still look brand new.

Beautiful truck, congratulations on the new toy. I’m surprised there are still 2018’s on the lots, especially silver XLTs. I’d have guessed only the less popular colors and trim levels would be remaining (if any).

You'll really come to like that 3012a pkg. Add Katzkins leather and it's almost a Lariat.

Congratulations on the new ride. Just watch your oil consumption. There is a TSB for select 2018 5.0L trucks. It looks like I’m heading towards a replacement long block soon.

She's perty Rob! BTW, shouldn't you still have snow on the ground?

I mowed my lawn yesterday for the first time this year and it smells great. Nothing like a new truck, spring is here, it's warming up finally.

Congratulations! That particular grille has grown on me a lot. There's something about the trim above and below the two big bars that really catches my eye. I test drove a silver truck and liked the look over the white I ended up with, but it was just missing too many things I was looking for. What about the 10 speed will take getting used to? If the shifting feels odd as opposed to just more of them, have the dealer do the updated flash on it. Made a big difference for mine.

Congrats on your new F150.
I hope it gives you many trouble free years and miles.
As far as the rear wheel well liners go, I’d stick with the OEM Ford liners because the Husky’s can be hit or miss on the fitment and there are many postings about this.

I had an ingot silver 2016 F-150, it's the best truck I've owned. I am now a deeply regretful 2019 Chevrolet Silverado owner right now and am hoping Ford welcomes me back with wide open arms when I return.
