2011 F350 Power fold mirrors, having an issue folding.

2011 F350 crew cab long bed. XLT Plus

my power mirrors are having issues folding. The right sometimes fails to fold, the driver more than the right doesnt fold. Ive had the right stop in the middle of a fold. Once in a while
the driver wont. I'm assuming motors are good since it tries to fold or folds. So either the switch or relay. The Switch is 44 bucks and the relay is 144.00 Im hoping its the cheaper.

Anyone have this before and is there a wire diagram. Ive hit google and came up sort of short on available wiring diagrams.

Don't think the gear is stripped in this case. Might be but doubt it.

Try re-syncing the mirrors. This procedure is from Ford Workshop DVD

Have the same truck, had the same problem. Eventually ended up replacing both mirrors under Ford ESP.

I hope that works for you, I did the same thing a few times. I eventually had to replace both mirrors.

My driver side was replaced twice by Ford. My passenger side failed at least a year ago and I'm not fixing it; too expensive out of pocket.

No problem. I just whacked a mailbox out in the country where I live and want to order the gears as well. I'm probably going to do a thread on the disassembly of the mirror with my buddys at the collusion shop. I couldn't find a thread here that had pics but did find one linked to another forum. This forum needs one so I will do one. It will be a learning experience for us all.

That would be great!

I'm sure it's just a matter of time before I hit something or have issues with the stock gears and will need to dig into my mirrors as well.

My 2011 did the same. It was the gears. My 2016 has been far better. So they or hopefully they upgraded the gears.

I had been working a lot at that time and was tired. I was driving home when I tilted back a can of energy drink to get the last of it out when I must have steered her a little too far right and whacked the bageezus out of that box. I turned around to pick up the dude's mail and leave a note. It's not hard on the roads I drive as the rural mailboxes are close to the road and at the right height to be truck mirror killers.

Here's the installation instructions from the Gruvenparts site:
