Mothers CMX ceramic wax

I was curious if anyone has used this product on their truck and how did it perform. It's a fairly new product.

I have used the Maguiars competitive product to this Mothers version.

I think it works ok. It dies add some pretty amazing hydrophobic water beading and shine. It just doesn’t last long. Maybe 2-3 car washes and most of it is gone. I use the spray and wipe it back in and the protection is restored.

This experiment with ceramics convinced me enough to do a proper ceramic coat this spring.

Esoteric out out of Ohio has great info on their website.

I would recommend PS Beadmaker. Not a ceramic spray but is hydrophobic and adds a lot of shine/depth to the paint. Could get a bit longer coverage than a couple of weeks, but I use it after every wash, usually every other week.

Like Redrockerstl55 said, Ceramic coating is the way to go.

Unfortunately I can't afford a professionally done ceramic job on my truck right now. I was just looking for a product that would kinda make it look like it was done professionally. I'm going to wash it, claybar it then apply the Mothers.

Been looking at Last Coat, looks impressive. Currently using Chemical Guys products and very satisfied so far.

Nice!
Did you feel the first coat needed to be heavy compared to the maintenance coats?

No sir. Beadmaker is the easiest to use product ive come across. If its been a while, i wash then clay bar. I dry the vehicle completly. 2 micro fibers, one dry, one moistened with the maker. Spray the panel, and work it with the moistened micro. Come back with the dry micro flipping often. No streaks, no mess. For maintenance i wash, and then use as a drying agent, spraying lightly across the panel and using micro fibers to dry. Super EZ. Personally i love the stuff. Makes my ol ladys black JK Wrangler look like a frikkin’ mirror!

try gtechniq c2v3. It lasts a long time compared to others. I put a coat in last December and just washed the car last week and is still beading great. Super easy.

If you want a great shine and long lasting protection check this stuff out.

https://www.autogeek.net/klashiggloss.html

it only take a small amount. Less is better. Let it dry about 15 min. Not longer. I wipe off using a spray sealant or spritzer.

Last St summer I had found bird poop on my hood after the truck was parked in August sun nearly the entire day. It was baked on.

Zero etching and and you can’t tell the bird droppings were there.

It’s economical also. Probably get 5 to 6 treatments on a super duty out of one bottle. Not bad for $20.
