Hello,

Here are some pictures of the accumulator and valve body + their internals in order. Just trying to provide as much information as possible.

Thank you - Shaun

any special notes about de soldering these diodes? the solder doesn't seem to want to melt.

Try adding solder to the connection first, the oil has probably caused an oxide layer to form that is preventing the solder from melting, adding more solder also adds flux that can help clean off this layer and allow it to melt.

Hello,

Yeah the flux did the trick. The solenoid body has been repaired, thank you for your help. The multimeter values check out again as well as a click heard on every solenoid when power is applied so I can safely rule out this being the issue for the hard shift. I feel like everyone is pretty much out of ideas here but thank you all anyways. I will pull the transmission harness completely and check it for any exposed wires and if there is no miracle there then its going to the shop I guess.

Thank you - Shaun

Glad you got the solenoid assembly working again.

As for your shifting issue I’m thinking your high line pressure could be causing the problem.

If you manually shift it from 1 to 2 is the shift hard also?

Hello,

By high line pressure you're referring to the high pressures I got when I did the pressure testing correct?

Yes if I manually shift it the same thing happens.

Thank you - Shaun

Well I was desperately hoping you would find your issue. I own a 1990 E150 we bought used that has a weird shifting issue I could never figure out either. Was told it wasn't the transmission which further baffled me.

Good luck brother.
