HPOP Recommendations

I was going to change the HPOP on my E99 F250. I heard these are 15 degree pumps. I also heard that they can be swapped with L99 17 degree pumps if I change the resevior as well. Is this true? Any advantage to the 17 over the 15?

Thank you in advace, as usual you guys are amazing.

Yes there is an advantage to the 17* pumps. They can maintain a higher pressure. There are others that are better with all the technical jargon. They will chime in. If your pump is weak and you are going to replace it I would upgrade. I have a Terminator T500, it was the recommended brand when I did it. There are others that people recommend now.

I changed mine to 17* pump without touching the reservoir, if that needs to be changed I'd like to hear why.

In my 12 years on this forum, I don't recall ever seeing anyone talk about changing the reservoir when upgrading to either a 17° pump or any of the other aftermarket "upgrade" models.

No need to change the reservoir. I would do a T-500

CNC Fab HPOP is the best option right now IMHO.

CNC Fab....no T-500 unless you want a runaround. If running stock injectors or even Stage 1, you can also go with a 17* Bosch.

I went with a Bosch from DieselORings and ordered it online. $544, no tax, no delivery charges either way (returning the core). HPOP shipped same day I ordered it and Core charge of $150 was refunded the same day they got it back! They even called me because I ordered a gasket, and they called to tell me the Bosch came with a gasket, reversed the gasket charge and still shipped the same day! Great service.

Can't go wrong with Bob. He's always been great to me over the years.
