1962 F250 clamshell hood

Hey, Iím planning on looking at a 62 f250 4x4 styleside bed this weekend. It doesnít have a motor or transmission but transfer case is there and the body is fairly decent.
The seller says it has a clamshell hood that believes is factory. Was this a factory option in 62 for the F250s?

Normally that means hinged at the front vs the standard rear hinge location. No it was not an option. There is a guy on one of the forums that makes a kit I believe for the slicks. Here's one, https://www.copperstatecomponents.co...hood_kits.html
There are probably others.
