There’s a person close by who has called DEP on a number of people.

The guys next door had pallets temporarily stored in the back open ground 10 ft outside the fence but owned property ... on wetlands. DEP visited.

Ashly, the woman who owns a tree service down the street cleared a downed on-site tree, but had the chipper throw into the wooded wetlands. DEP visited with a warning of impending fines. She figured natural, on-site debris.

The dozer tracks clang like crazy. A few years back I was visited by zoning, concerned I was clearing. The chainsaw has done that once, too. Brook street people get hyper. Which is amazing since two are extended into wetlands off their property. It used to be my aunts 10ac property.

Alot of that sounds like town complaints that took it further to the state level.
Sounds like the main problem by you are nosey neighbors.

Watch Fox News ................... the media, the public schools, and MANY of our elected officials are turning out more and more young people that would turn you in .... in a heart beat. Afterall - we keep going the way we are (oil based society and cow based food industry) , we will all be dead in 12 years. What a swamp ... and it is much deeper than just Washington. Everyone, please VOTE (and write your congressman/woman. it really does help) .......................... while they can still read and write.

I don't have to worry about getting into trouble, just the annoyance of visitors. including those who steal Christmas trees coming from Brook St.

What was ironic about all of what I noted was the area that the pallets were on (waiting for the truck to take them away) while wetlands it's cut grass.

Ashly's service takes the job chips to recycle. The tree that came down, about 6" in diameter, would have been fine if she just dragged it into the woods as though it fell in that direction, not into the lot. And in the meantime, the property behind ours has a legal Forestry Management plan, which harvests trees in a manner that meets state guidelines, although way more obtrusive than the chips of a fallen tree hastening going back to the earth.

In progress ....

In addition to the fact ALL NJ, NY trucks suffer from massive rust problems, are damaged goods at resale, trade in time, OP's issue is just another reason to avoid these states like the plague.............
